This week I want to share a few of the amazing things I’ve enjoyed from other educators. Here are 3 of my favorite finds on Pinterest and the world wide web of teaching this week:
I love this pin from Math Giraffe. Her Doodle Notes are AHHMAAZING, and help students stay way more keyed in to what they are learning. Bonus: she explains the research and rationale behind sketch notes, and how doodling can activate more regions of the brain and help learning be better retained.
The ELA Buffet shares an important lesson learned in her post “The Most Teaching Advice Ever.” A great reminder and I appreciated her insight and experience. At the end of the post is a link up with other great reads from educators sharing their hard earned nuggets of wisdom. I found myself nodding along with so many of them. But this quote here really hit me- the importance of keeping perspective even when things are getting frustrating.
Dr. Seuss is an all time favorite. His quotes were fun when I was younger, and now I just appreciate the wisdom in them. And sharing a birthday with Dr. Seuss is pretty cool too! I love how he speaks of a world of wonder and possibility, a place where we can reach amazing heights.
And then, there’s these:
I got new kicks! I know, I’m loving them so much! Look how sparkly they are!!! Have a great weekend everyone!
